Damned by Remote Control
I'm not saying that planting "improvised explosive devices" and throwing hand grenades in battle are good or promising things for a 15-year-old to be doing, but when did those become "war crimes"?
Part of the argument seems to be that he converted a landmine into an IED, adding the element of remote control. And yet we in America seem to be quite proud of how we can convert our "dumb" bombs that fall any which way into "smart" bombs that are guided by, yes, remote control to their target.
It's like we're racing to make this the most short-sighted and self-righteous nation on earth. Slow down, everybody. We've won that one.
